The effect of magnetism on human beings
So far no detrimental effect of the magnetic field on human beings has been confirmed, as opposed to, for example, x-ray radiation. In medicine, the magnetic field is used in diagnostics (NMR - nuclear magnetic resonance). Some methods also take advantage of the effect of the magnetic field from permanent magnets or electromagnets in physiotherapy. Currently, it is more used in alternative medicine.
Persons with a cardio stimulator or other sensitive electronic medical devices are prohibited from handling magnets and approaching magnets to a distance of less than 0.5 m.
